What I wish was different
First of all, I wish there was an employee discount because Publix is known to be a bit expensive. The orientation is a bit lackluster and does not teach a lot of the actual skills an employee would need for the job. Cashier training itself left much to be desired and I noticed myself learning the skills needed on the job, which is confusing because with handling money and coupons you would expect Publix to want their employees to be well-versed before actually handling them.
