NATURE OF WORK:
Performs skilled and semi-skilled work involving the cleaning and maintenance of City parking facilities and revenue collection from City parking meters. Some of each workday consists of emptying parking meters of change and completing appropriate reports and deposits according to division procedures. The balance of the incumbent’s day involves cleaning and completing light repairs in City parking facilities. Tasks involve significant physical effort, hours of walking and standing each day, exposure to all weather conditions, and ability to use standard hand tools and operate power tools. Once employee is fully trained, will be expected to work with limited supervision. Performance is reviewed while in progress, and upon review of completed work.
REGULAR WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION: Average hours vary 20 to 32 hours per week. Some weekend and holiday work required. Schedule subject to change based on division needs. Work locations include various parking garages in and around Downtown Orlando.
High school diploma and two years experience in commercial building maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Some work experience in revenue collection/cash handling preferred. Florida driver license required. Criminal background check and polygraph examination required.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.
