Wind Technician Intern (2 openings)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under supervision, assists in performing regular preventive maintenance and repairs of the wind turbines
  • Under supervision, assists in the troubleshooting, identification, and implementation of electronic and mechanical failures, problems and corrective actions
  • Attends regular safety meetings and follows appropriate company safety and environmental policies
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines
  • Additional duties include: bolt torquing/tensioning, compound maintenance, equipment operations, general labor, and other duties that may be required

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must currently be enrolled in a two year technical program (wind technician, electrical, instrumentation & control, electronics/fiber optic, mechanical maintenance, or related)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 250 feet from the ground surface
  • The candidate should be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with users of varying technical skill levels
  • The candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

DETAILS OF INTERNSHIP:
  • Work Location: 5198 30th St, New Salem, ND 58563
  • The ideal candidate is available full time during the summer months(June, July and August)
  • Work hours are a 10 hour shift Monday-Thursday/Tuesday-Friday (6:00 AM-4:30 PM CST)
  • Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs
  • Pays $18.50 per hour
